Cancun- The Beginning of Ituana

Cancun was our second trip on the roster...We stayed at The Ritz Carlton and enjoyed some of the finest service out there....beaches were glorious and the waves and weather were divine....too short of a trip for us though...we should have stayed that extra day....Our first night we ate at a great Mexican restaurant that was a favorite of the locals. Our last night we found a small tapas restaurant that overlooked the water...not only were there great Caipirinha's and wine but there was also great music. This is where we fell in love with Bossa Nova and found Ituana. One of our favorite singers to chill to!

Miami: Halloween at The Shore Club

It had been a few months since Alex and I had started dating. Ok- maybe two months. Things were going well and in our many conversations with each other, we realized how much we both love the sun, the beach and Miami. He told me that his friends had some connections at The Shore Club and that he was hoping to make it down there for their annual Halloween Party. I had good feelings at this point about us so I decided to test out my mojo and see if I was in the right spot.
Alex said, "So do you think i should try and make it to Miami?" My response was, "only if I get to go with you." He smiled and you could tell I got the wheels turning.

The seed had been planted and in just a few days an email came to my inbox. I don't normally share personal emails, but this is a goodie. I told him that my Wonder Woman costume was coming together, but that I was hoping that I wouldn't freeze since it was going to be cold that night. Wonder Woman doesn't exactly wear a fur coat. With that response he wrote: Do you think we should both follow your advice and find a way to enjoy Halloween in Miami together?

UM YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Was my response...obviously!!! After that email, we booked our tickets and made a trip down South.

Nobu 57

It was a normal Thursday night and Jill and I decided to take our drinks uptown to Nobu 57 rather than our usual Wolfgang's on 33rd. I had left the office earlier that day because I, once again, got diagnosed with a bad case of pink eye!!! Those damn contacts!!!!

Jill and I sat down at the bar tables and had a cocktail. After discussing what is new in both of our lives (Jill was getting married the following weekend) two men sat down at the table next to us. We started talking and suddenly the conversation began....The only thing I can really remember from that conversation was that Alex's friend Pete thought Bea Arthur was attractive??? WHAT? She is the ugly one out of The Golden Girls!!! I will have to check my sources on this one and make sure that it was in fact Dorothy and not one of the other hotties...

We had some fun conversation that night but I wasn't sure who was interested in who. Jill was technically off the market, so that just left me. I was definitely interested in Alex, but I just wasn't sure since he wasn't sitting directly next to me.

It was getting late and we both decided we were going to move on for the evening. Pete was sitting next to me, so he suggested I get Alex's number. That was when I knew he was into the goods!!!! We texted that night( he was saved in my phone as Daisy Fuentes ) and that was when it all started!!!!!!
